GPI provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for the Venture Global LNG headquarters expansion to the 18th floor and partial areas on the 19th and 20th floor of the Potomac Tower building totaling 36,600 sqft.
The 18th and 19th floor space includes private offices, conference rooms, a boardroom, workstations, a pantry, and other support areas. Access to an outdoor terrace is attached to the main floor space. The 20th floor includes meeting rooms, private offices, workstations, and a breakroom. Although the client is not planning to pursue LEED Certification, GPI applied LEED ID+C guidelines in the design. GPI also provided an assessment for the mechanical systems and overall space layout for the 15th, 18th, 19th, and 20th floors for improvement of indoor air quality and COVID Mitigation. As a follow up to this assessment, the client opted for improved filtration and to incorporate in-duct UV-C and a dry hydrogen peroxide air cleaning system.
