FORM Architects National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)

GPI provided design and engineering consulting services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners office, an 11,000 sqft space located at 1101 K Street, NW.

In addition to typical office spaces, the scope included the design of a large conference room, a reception/lounge, open collaboration rooms, a LAN room, and a private restroom. The office includes a curved coffee bar and custom seating in the pantry area. The mechanical design included new systems and the reconfiguration of the existing mechanical systems. This included relocated and new variable air volume terminal units, air diffusers, branch ductwork, computer room air conditioning unit, and controls to accommodate the new space layout and occupancy requirements. The electrical design included power distribution, interior lighting, and fire alarm system. The plumbing design included water heaters, sanitary drains, and hot/cold water for the wellness room, pantry, and restroom.
