The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is a nonprofit organization that supports state insurance regulators and consumers by providing standards, best practices, and resources to ensure fair and healthy insurance markets.
GPI provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services for this project, ensuring a seamless integration of all systems. The 11,000 sqft modern office space features a variety of thoughtfully designed areas, including a large conference room, a welcoming reception/lounge, open collaboration rooms, a LAN room, and a private restroom. The office also boasts a curved coffee bar and custom seating in the pantry area, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
Mechanical design included the installation of new systems and the reconfiguration of existing ones, such as variable air volume terminal units, air diffusers, branch ductwork, and a computer room air conditioning unit, all tailored to meet the new space layout and occupancy requirements. The electrical design encompassed power distribution, interior lighting, and a fire alarm system, while the plumbing design included water heaters, sanitary drains, and hot/cold water for the wellness room.
The project provided a high-performance workspace emphasizing efficiency, reflecting our commitment to excellence in engineering and design. With this new office, the NAIC is well-equipped to continue its vital work in supporting state insurance regulators and promoting fair insurance practices.
