Maine Department of Transportation Fabrication Inspection Services

GPI is providing statewide on-call fabrication inspection services to the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) in accordance with the latest versions of MaineDOT’s Construction Manual, MaineDOT’s Inspector’s Quality Assurance Inspection Manuals, and applicable policies.

Assignments to date have included the following:

Duncan Shop Inspection: Work under this assignment includes shop coatings inspection services on various MaineDOT projects being coated at Duncan Galvanizing in Everett, MA. Each individual project will be placed under separate tasks.

Coastal Steel Service: Providing shop welding inspection and steel fabrication services on a MaineDOT project being fabricated at Coastal Steel Service in Searsport, ME. The project included steel channel brackets for the Rockland Rail bridges project to stabilize stone masonry piers.

Casco Bay Steel Structures Coatings Inspection: Providing metalizing and coatings inspection for MaineDOT at Casco Bay Steel Structures in South Portland, ME. Services include a full range of coatings inspection along with verification of surface preparation and shipping approval.
