In efforts to gather their staff from a recent acquisition, alongside their Clarendon, VA staff, Cadmus relocated headquarters from Waltham, MA to Arlington, VA – an optimal location to serve the firm’s U.S. Federal government clients.

GPI provided engineering consulting services for the design of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the new 42,000 sqft Cadmus headquarters. This modern, one-and-a-half-story project includes a reception area, private offices, workstations, and specialized spaces such as huddle rooms, phone rooms, and conference rooms, including a conferencing center with banquette seating for up to 125 guests. Employees can now enjoy amenities such as a wellness room, private outdoor terrace, coffee bar, and pool table for relaxation and team-building.

The scope included design for the office renovation, a staircase linking the reception area to the second floor, and critical system upgrades, including supplemental air conditioning and modification of the outside air system for enhanced comfort of meeting spaces. Design also called for replacing plumbing fixtures at the existing café, new finishes, and new lighting.

Through innovative design and engineering, GPI transformed Cadmus’ vision into a sophisticated, high-performance workspace that balances functionality, comfort, and modern aesthetics.
