Vanessa Cifuentes, SHRM-SCP, is an accomplished human resources professional with over 23 years of dedicated experience. With a steadfast commitment to advancing the field of human resources, and a concentrated focus on professional services, Vanessa has navigated the unique challenges of the engineering sector, cultivating a deep understanding of its nuances and intricacies.

Vanessa brings expertise in General HR, Payroll, Affirmative Action, Learning and Development, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), and more. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, she has successfully managed complex payroll systems, orchestrated impactful DEIB initiatives, and optimized comprehensive benefits packages to enhance employee well-being and satisfaction. Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys volunteering with local community groups, reading, traveling, and culinary adventures both locally and abroad.

I’ve been with GPI for nearly 24 years, and I feel like every day I can learn something new, while also using my knowledge to help someone else learn something new.

Continued Growth and Employee Satisfaction. I feel like you can’t have one without the other.

What book would you recommend to others?

“Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl, and Brené Brown’s “Atlas of the Heart.”
