Confidential Confidential Government Contractor

GPI’s collaboration on the renovation of this Government Contractor’s office in Valley Forge, PA, demonstrates the critical role of precision engineering in creating secure and functional workspaces.

This 17,500 sqft project balanced the needs of classified and unclassified areas, with 12,500 sqft dedicated to classified space and 5,000 sqft allocated to unclassified operations.

Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural engineering services to ensure the facility met the highest standards of performance and security. Key elements included the design of two 24/7 AC units and modifications to the power distribution system to accommodate a Tempest Filter and new panels for the SCIF area. These upgrades ensured the classified spaces were equipped for secure operations while maintaining energy efficiency.

Structural enhancements played a vital role in the project’s success. Our team conducted a detailed analysis of the existing framing to support new safes and designed supplemental framing for a new operable partition between the café and conference room. Structural design included an exterior sign mounted on the building’s façade, ensuring it met safety and aesthetic requirements.

Further updates included the installation of a new ADA-compliant restroom and the addition of a diesel generator with backup power distribution featuring an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). The generator platform was supported by a structural analysis that guaranteed reliability and compliance.

GPI remained committed to delivering innovative solutions for the mission-critical facility. Through integrating advanced engineering practices and addressing unique project requirements, we helped create a secure, efficient, and adaptable workspace that supports the contractor’s essential operations.
